Heavy Duty Mechanic
About The Position
MasterTech is seeking an experienced Heavy Duty Mechanic in Salt Lake City, Utah. The role involves maintaining, diagnosing, repairing, and rebuilding various types of mining equipment, including surface drills, shovels, and earth-moving equipment. Compensation is $30.00–$47.00 per hour. The employer pays 100% of the employee’s benefits; family benefit plans are available. Benefits include medical, dental, vision, and life insurance contributions, paid time off/vacation, and a 401(k) with matching contributions. The schedule starts at 6:00 a.m., Monday through Friday, with 10–11-hour workdays. Overtime is paid after 40 hours per week.
Requirements
- At least 3 years of experience as a professional mechanic.
- Excellent understanding of electrical and hydraulic systems.
- Ability to read and interpret schematics and blueprints.
- Own a full set of tools.
- Valid driver’s license.

- Background in mining, oilfield, and/or construction.
