About The Position

Experienced Heavy Equipment Mechanics and Industrial Millwrights are needed in the Alexandria, VA region to support a large service, rental, and parts distributor serving the Construction, Mining, and Recycling industries. The role involves working with experienced technicians locally and traveling to out-of-state client sites. Technicians receive a company service truck and a gas/expense card for travel. Travel can vary from one to three nights per week. The schedule is Monday to Friday, with overtime, and 7:00 a.m. start times. The role includes mobile dispatch and paid windshield/travel time. Compensation is $30.00–$40.00 per hour. Full benefits begin after 30 days.

Requirements

• At least 5 years of heavy equipment maintenance experience on large machinery, stationary or mobile.
• Comfort with hydraulics, welding, electrical work, preventative maintenance, and diesel engines.
• Valid driver's license.
• Own tools; specialty tools are provided.
• Ability to work independently.
• Successful candidates are subject to background checks and drug screening.

Nice To Haves

• Background with screening, crushing, conveyors, trommels, or shredders is a strong asset.
