About The Position

TCI RENTAL AND LEASING is looking for a Diesel Mechanic with an expert touch and attention to detail. We are seeking Diesel Mechanics with 3 to 4+ years of experience. The role involves inspecting trucks and trailers to DOT standards. The normal work week is Monday through Friday from 8 am to 5 pm, with a rotating on-call schedule for one week, during which the work week is Tuesday through Saturday from 8 am to 5 pm. Overtime is available as needed, and flexibility to work an 11 am to 9 pm shift may be required to accommodate customers.

Requirements

3 to 4+ years of experience as a Diesel Mechanic.
4 to 6+ years of Diesel Engine Repair experience.
Must possess a valid driver's license.
Self-motivated & Leadership skills.
Must be available for On Call Rotation.
Expert touch and attention to detail.
Ability to diagnose and repair specified components.

Nice To Haves

HVAC systems certification preferred.

Responsibilities

Inspect trucks and trailers to DOT standards.
Diagnose and repair powertrain, motor, and transmission issues.
Perform overhead tune-ups.
Repair cooling systems, engine accessories (alternators, belts, AC system, air compressors, fuel pumps, power steering), injectors, harness seals, hydraulic systems, PTOs, pumps, plumbing, and driveline components.
Service suspension systems, including airbags, shocks, leaf springs, leveling valves, air systems, differentials, driveshafts, and steering systems (Pitman, draglink, tie rod ends, assembly, kingpins, hubs, axle seals, bearings).
Repair HVAC systems (AC, heat).
Diagnose and repair electrical systems, lights, ADAS, SCR, DPF, and DEF systems.
Diagnose sensors, harnesses, and filters.
Perform computer diagnostics using Incite, Tech Tool, and Diagnostic Link.
