The position is responsible for inspecting, maintaining, diagnosing, and repairing heavy construction equipment to support safe, reliable, and efficient operation. The role contributes to fleet uptime through preventive maintenance, repairs, accurate documentation, and compliance with safety and regulatory requirements. Technician A leads complex diagnostics and major repairs, performs root-cause analysis, serves as a technical expert, maintains repair-quality standards, and mentors others. The Technician A role may provide technical input and operational backfill support but has no direct supervisory authority. Work takes place in a shop and field environment around heavy construction equipment. The role involves exposure to noise, vibration, dust, grease, and outdoor weather conditions, and requires physical activity including standing, walking, climbing, bending, stooping, kneeling, working in confined spaces, and lifting or carrying up to 50 pounds, with or without reasonable accommodation.
