The Superintendent provides overall direct field supervision of employees and multiple subcontractors. The role enforces plan and specification requirements, works to meet production goals and craftsmanship standards, and ensures safety practices are followed. The Superintendent leads civil construction field operations and coordinates with the Project Manager on scheduling and staffing, while planning labor, materials, and equipment needed to complete projects.

Requirements

10 or more years of construction superintendent experience.
Multi-family or hotel experience.
Experience managing vertical construction.
Valid driver’s license.
Acceptable motor vehicle record in accordance with Fisher’s Company Vehicle Program policy.
Strong organizational and communication skills, including the ability to give clear directions and instructions.
Ability to complete work tasks in adverse weather conditions, including heat above 100 degrees, cold, and rain.
Willingness to travel.

Responsibilities

Lead and understand all aspects of civil construction field operations.
Work closely with the Project Manager to assist with job scheduling and appropriate staffing needs.
Plan and coordinate the labor, materials, and equipment required to complete a project.
Monitor field productivity to ensure work is completed cost-effectively and professionally.
Communicate professionally with the Project Manager and subcontractors.
Assist in hiring, training, and evaluating new team members.
Create and maintain good working relationships with employees.
Interact with jurisdictional inspectors, architects, owners, and others.
Comply with OSHA and company safety policies, procedures, and standards.
Perform other duties as assigned.
