About The Position

This role is responsible for the operation of autoclaves and the rigging of product for cure. The position involves directing the activities of others in preparing product for cure, monitoring autoclave operations through gauges and charts to ensure quality product, and maintaining accurate documentation of cured products. The operator is also responsible for transporting tools, equipment, and product, and safely operating a forklift. Additionally, the role requires maintaining an orderly work area and proper care of equipment, materials, and tools. Various other duties may be assigned by a superior.

Requirements

• Must be capable of lifting twenty-five (25) pounds frequently.
• Occasionally lift 50 pounds.
• Must work in standing and/or seated position.
• Some bending and stooping required.
• Must wear appropriate personal protective equipment.
• Vision sufficient to safely operate forklift and read gauges and instruments.

Responsibilities

• Operation of the autoclaves and the rigging of product for cure.
• Directs activity of others in the performance of their duties in the preparation of product for cure.
• Periodically check gauges, charts, etc. to verify operation of the autoclaves within specification to ensure the cure of a quality product.
• Responsible for accurate and complete documentation and maintenance of records such as recording of product cured by serial number, type of cure, date, autoclave number, shift, etc. Other documentation or records may also be required.
• Responsible for transporting tools, equipment and product within the work area and to and from the autoclave.
• Must safely drive and operate forklift.
• Responsible for orderliness of work area and proper care of equipment, materials and tools.
• Various other duties as assigned by superior.
