About The Position

Cleveland Gear Company is seeking energetic, highly motivated, and take-charge individuals for a role as Heat Treater. This is a challenging and exciting opportunity to join a well-established, profitable, and growing company that manufactures high-quality worm gearing, industrial speed reducers, and customized gear drives.

Requirements

• One (1) year experience in heat treat area or high school graduate and six (6) months experience in heat treat
• Familiar with safety rules and procedures
• Department procedures
• Setup and operation of equipment
• Must be able to read and write in English
• Must be able to lift up to 40 lbs.
• Must be able to load/unload parts with a hoist
• Must be able to move parts using pallet lifter

Nice To Haves

• High school graduate
• Two (2) years vocational school
• One (1) year previous paint experience

Responsibilities

• Handling First piece inspection
• Signoff sheets
• Reporting non-conforming material
• Reporting maintenance problems
• Reviewing blueprint revisions
• Heat treating per engineering specifications
• Shot blast
• Straightening
• Hardness testing
• Lap centers
