2nd Shift Heat Treat Operator

About The Position
Dauphin Precision Tool, LLC, a supplier of American-made industrial cutting tools, is seeking a Heat Treat Operator for its Heat Treat Department. The role supports heat treating operations, including straightening, shank draw, surface treating, brushing, drilling, packing, hardness testing, operating a fully automated heat treat line, and preventive maintenance. The position is for the 2nd shift.
Requirements
- Basic knowledge of computers.
- Ability to lift at least 50 lbs.
Responsibilities
- Pack jobs efficiently for entry into the Automatic Heat Treat line according to hardness, steel type, and diameter.
- Prioritize jobs based on quoted customer delivery dates.
- Operate the shank draw machine and surface treat equipment.
- Perform other assigned duties, which may or may not be directly related to Heat Treat.
- Verify that products are heat treated to the specifications shown on drawings.
- Perform preventive maintenance on heat treating equipment.
- Communicate equipment problems to the Supervisor.
