Requirements

• Bachelors degree in Mechanical Engineering required
• Knowledge of vacuum brazing - 3-5 years minimum
• Heat Transfer - 3-5 years minimum
• Solid modeling - 3-5 years minimum
• Heat exchanger design experience; preferably with plate and fin heat exchangers -3-5 years minimum
• Project management experience - 3-5 years minimum
• Microsoft Office and Windows (high) - 3-5 years minimum
• Experience in a fabricated metal product manufacturing environment (hands-on a plus)

Nice To Haves

• Masters Degree desired
• High temperature brazing experience - 3-5 years minimum
• Supervisory experience - 1-2 years minimum
• Solidworks design software capability - 1-2 years minimum
• Design Engineering in a fabricated metal product manufacturing environment - 3-5 years minimum
• Shop floor interface experience - 1-2 years minimum
• Product testing experience - 1-2 years minimum
• Design for manufacturability - 1-2 years minimum

Responsibilities

• Perform thermal and mechanical design of new heat transfer products
• Prepare cost estimates and project plans for new products
• Create models, drawings and bills of material for heat exchanger components and assemblies
• Perform mechanical design calculations for pressure vessels and support structures
• Manage prototype projects from initial concept to final product shipment
• Prepare test plans and supervise testing of new products
• Create manufacturing instructions for new products
• Investigate issues and develop and implement solutions for problems arising during the manufacture of new products
