About The Position
Vision Quest Solutions is accepting applications for a full-time Hearing Conservation Specialist, Registered Nurse to support the U.S. Department of Energy, National Nuclear Security Administration, Office of Secure Transportation. This DOE contract opportunity is located in Albuquerque, New Mexico, in a federal occupational health and medical support services setting. The role supports the occupational hearing conservation program through hearing screenings, audiometric testing, records management, and employee education. The specialist works with the occupational health team to document results and coordinate appropriate follow-up. Employment is contingent upon contract award, staffing needs, government approval, and completion of onboarding.
Requirements
- Current, unrestricted registered nurse license.
- Hearing conservation specialist certification.
- Ability to perform hearing conservation duties within applicable clinical protocols.
- Ability to meet government access, credentialing, and onboarding requirements.
Responsibilities
- Conduct hearing screenings and audiometric testing within authorized scope and established protocols.
- Maintain accurate hearing conservation records and testing documentation.
- Coordinate follow-up for results requiring clinical review.
- Educate personnel on hearing protection and hearing conservation practices.
- Coordinate with nursing staff and designated medical providers.
- Protect the confidentiality of employee medical information.
- Complete required training and maintain applicable credentials.
