About The Position

Kansas Children's Service League (KCSL) is seeking a full-time Healthy Families Family Engagement Coordinator in Hutchinson, KS. This position is responsible for community outreach and recruitment to engage new families, as well as parent engagement activities for enrolled families. The role may also involve carrying a small caseload as requested by the supervisor. KCSL, founded in 1893, is a statewide, nonprofit agency dedicated to protecting and promoting the well-being of children through programs focused on health, safety, and education. They aim to help children and families succeed and break cycles of neglect, abuse, and trauma.

Requirements

Minimum of a high school diploma or equivalent
Experience in working with or providing services to children and families
Ability to maintain professional boundaries when providing supportive services
Able to work flexible schedule, which could include some evening/weekend hours

Responsibilities

Develop and maintain a list of community partners as potential referral sources and provide regular communication with partners regarding program openings to enroll new families.
Market the program to potential new referral sources, making in person visits to community partners, giving program presentations, and implementing creative methods to recruit and retain families.
Attend community meetings and participate in community events to promote the program and connect with families who might enroll.
Develop a Parent Advisory Council for the local area and recruit families to participate.
Lead the planning and be present at quarterly (or more often) Family Time events.
Lead support groups and/or play group opportunities for program participants.
