Family Support Worker � Healthy Families
About The Position
The Villages is seeking dedicated individuals to provide family support services to new parents through the Healthy Families program. The Family Support Worker (FSW) will act as a team member in managing and providing client-centered, culturally competent, and effective services to children and their families. This role involves regular and long-term contact and support with families, including home visits. The approach is family-centered and strength-based, aiming to assist families in strengthening the parent-child relationship, improving family support systems, establishing goals, increasing problem-solving abilities, and empowering families to become advocates for themselves and their children.
Requirements
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- Experience in working with or providing services to children and families.
- Experience and willingness to work with culturally diverse populations.
- Knowledge of infant and child development.
- Ability to travel locally on a regular basis.
Responsibilities
