About The Position

Bleuler Psychotherapy Center is seeking a dedicated Healthcare Technology Specialist (HTS) to provide technical support, Electronic Health Record (EHR) administration, and health information technology expertise for our outpatient mental health and substance use treatment programs. This position serves as a critical bridge between clinical staff, administrative teams, leadership, vendors, and technology partners to ensure the effective operation of Bleuler’s behavioral health technology systems. The ideal candidate will bring experience supporting Electronic Health Records, healthcare technology systems, end users, and IT infrastructure while helping improve clinical workflows, regulatory compliance, data integrity, and operational efficiency.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or equivalent required
  • 2–5 years of IT support experience troubleshooting hardware, software, and network-related issues
  • Experience supporting Electronic Health Record (EHR) systems required
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, including Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Teams
  • Strong analytical, troubleshooting, organizational, and customer service skills
  • Ability to work independently, manage multiple priorities, maintain confidentiality, and thrive in a fast-paced healthcare environment
  • Excellent customer service and communication skills with the ability to support clinical, administrative, and leadership staff
  • Strong understanding of EHR workflows and behavioral health technology systems
  • Advanced troubleshooting, analytical, and problem-solving abilities
  • Ability to train staff on technology platforms and system workflows in a clear and professional manner
  • Strong organizational and time-management skills with the ability to manage competing priorities

Nice To Haves

  • Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Health Information Technology, Health Informatics, Information Technology, Computer Science, Healthcare Administration, or related field preferred
  • eClinicalWorks (eCW) experience strongly preferred
  • Behavioral health, healthcare, or medical office technology support experience strongly preferred
  • Knowledge of clinical workflows, client registration, scheduling, documentation, billing, and reporting processes preferred
  • Familiarity with HIPAA, 42 CFR Part 2, OASAS, OMH, Medicaid, and healthcare privacy regulations preferred
  • Experience supporting telehealth and virtual meeting platforms such as Zoom, Microsoft Teams, Doxy.me, or similar applications
  • Experience creating training materials, user guides, and delivering staff training preferred
  • WordPress, website administration, or basic web development experience preferred

Responsibilities

  • Serve as a point of contact for behavioral health technology support, including the agency’s Electronic Health Record (EHR), client portal, telehealth platforms, and clinical documentation systems
  • Provide daily technical support to clinical and administrative staff by troubleshooting hardware, software, printer, and basic network-related issues
  • Escalate advanced system issues to eClinicalWorks, IT vendors, or designated technology resources as needed
  • Configure and maintain user accounts, access permissions, security roles, and system settings in accordance with HIPAA and organizational security requirements
  • Support EHR functionality, including templates, assessments, clinical forms, treatment plans, reports, workflows, and system enhancements
  • Train and support staff on EHR workflows related to client registration, scheduling, documentation, billing, and reporting processes
  • Assist with new employee onboarding by providing EHR training, technology orientation, and user support resources
  • Develop and maintain user guides, training materials, quick-reference tools, and technology documentation
  • Collaborate with clinical and administrative leadership to improve workflow efficiency, data quality, and system utilization
  • Generate and support operational, productivity, quality improvement, and regulatory reporting needs
  • Assist with EHR audits, quality assurance reviews, data validation, and compliance-related technology initiatives
  • Provide basic IT support including workstation deployment, software installation, printer configuration, and coordination of repairs
  • Maintain inventory of technology equipment, software, and related assets
  • Promote cybersecurity best practices and safeguard electronic protected health information (ePHI)
  • Participate in EHR upgrades, technology implementations, workflow improvement projects, and other HIT initiatives
  • Collaborate effectively with vendors, consultants, and external technology partners
  • Perform additional EHR, HIT, IT, and special project duties as assigned in support of agency operations
