About The Position

Guidehouse is currently seeking two (2) Health Solution Architects, one position located in Atlanta, GA and one position located in the DMV. The Federal Health Technology Solutions Architect serves as the senior technical authority responsible for shaping, articulating, and defending mission aligned technology solutions in support of programs and initiatives across the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) and its Operating Divisions. This role partners closely with account leadership, capture teams, go to market teams, and delivery organizations to translate federal health priorities into executable, defensible solution architectures that align mission outcomes, technical feasibility, delivery approach, risk, and cost. The position requires deep federal solutions architecture expertise, strong knowledge of federal health IT environments, and demonstrated ability to lead capture, proposal development, and early delivery execution for complex, large scale programs.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college/university; years of experience may be considered in lieu of degree.
  • Must be able to OBTAIN and MAINTAIN a Federal or DoD "PUBLIC TRUST"; candidates must obtain approved adjudication of their PUBLIC TRUST prior to onboarding with Guidehouse.
  • Based on our contractual obligations, candidate must be located within the United States and US Citizen.
  • 10+ years of experience serving as a Solutions Architect with demonstrated leadership on large scale programs.
  • Proven experience as a Federal Solutions Architect, with exposure to federal health or human services environments strongly preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of technologies used across federal health enterprise and program level architectures, including: Public health, research, and mission systems; Grants, financial assistance, and program management platforms; Data platforms, analytics, and system integrations; Enterprise business and mission support systems.
  • Demonstrated experience modernizing enterprise and mission systems within federal civilian agencies, including cloud adoption, data integration, and platform rationalization.
  • Deep familiarity with federal health IT standards, security, privacy, and compliance frameworks.
  • Demonstrated ability to architect solutions using modern cloud, data, analytics, and AI technologies commonly deployed in large scale federal environments.
  • Evidence of recent and ongoing professional development demonstrating currency with today’s technologies, including: Cloud architecture and cloud native application patterns; Advanced data platforms, analytics, and data engineering; AI enabled analytics and data driven mission platforms; Cybersecurity, zero trust, and federal compliance frameworks; Platform modernization and digital transformation.
  • Ability to clearly articulate end to end solution approaches that connect architecture decisions to mission outcomes, delivery execution, risk, and cost.
  • Demonstrated experience supporting technical capture activities, including RFIs, RFPs, and oral proposals.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with experience engaging senior government and executive audiences.
  • Ability to operate effectively across delivery, pricing, and business development teams, including contribution to technical pricing strategies and cost models.
  • This role is a hybrid role, must be located within a commutable distance to the Guidehouse Atlanta, GA or Tysons Corner, VA offices.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the design of end to end technology solutions for federal health programs and pursuits, from early concept through proposal and into initial delivery.
  • Translate HHS and Operating Division mission priorities into clear, credible, and defensible solution architectures.
  • Define architectural strategies for leveraging, modernizing, integrating, or replacing existing federal enterprise and mission systems based on mission value, technical risk, and cost.
  • Shape technical strategies for pre RFP, capture, and proposal efforts, including RFIs, RFPs, and oral presentations.
  • Develop solution architectures, technical narratives, and diagrams that are delivery ready and executable.
  • Define delivery approaches, including labor models, skill mix, phasing, dependencies, and risk mitigation strategies.
  • Partner with pricing teams to ensure architectural decisions translate into realistic and defensible cost models.
  • Coordinate across cloud, data, analytics, AI, cybersecurity, and platform teams to assemble integrated, compliant federal health solutions.
  • Serve as technical lead during early delivery phases, ensuring fidelity to the proposed solution and effective transition from capture to execution.
  • Act as a trusted technical advisor to government stakeholders and internal leadership through technical credibility, solution quality, and delivery discipline.
