About The Position

Crossroads Turning Points is seeking a compassionate, dynamic Healthcare Technician for its Circle Program in Pueblo West. The position provides daily assistance to patients, helps staff with tasks in the assigned unit, and accommodates patient needs. The role is on the day shift, from 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. Applicants must complete a pre-employment drug screening, including marijuana testing, a comprehensive background check, and a TB test.

Requirements

High school diploma or GED.
Complete the Certified Addiction Technician (CAT) credential within 18 months of hire.
Communicate effectively and follow directions.
CPR and First Aid certification; the agency covers the costs of initial training and renewals.
Valid driver's license, insurability, and a good driving record; applicants must be at least 21 years old for insurance purposes.
Basic computer skills.
Complete a pre-employment drug screening, including marijuana testing, a comprehensive background check, and a TB test.

Nice To Haves

Prior experience working with patients with mental illness and substance misuse.

Responsibilities

Assist with and support conducting groups using motivational interviewing skills.
Complete and submit all documentation by established deadlines.
Help maintain the assigned unit in an organized, clean, and efficient manner.
Transport patients to and from appointments, support groups, employment searches, and other related activities.
Maintain the security of assigned units in accordance with CTP policies and procedures.
Monitor patients and their activities.
Accurately document each patient's activities during the assigned shift.
Report patient infractions, concerns, or problems to the primary counselor or supervisor.
