About The Position

This position is a strategic role focused on leveraging NC HealthConnex for quality and population health initiatives. While it involves technology, it is not purely technical and requires vision, clear communication, creative problem-solving, and relationship-building skills. Responsibilities include assisting with project implementation, coordinating with internal business units, querying and analyzing data from NC HealthConnex, and synthesizing stakeholder feedback to inform decision-making.

Requirements

• Understanding of data policy and the healthcare data ecosystem; health information technology; program monitoring; and/or quality measurement & improv (3 Years)
• Excellent critical thinking, problem solving, and project management skills (3 Years)
• Demonstrated ability to communicate complex material in a clear and concise manner both verbally and in writing (3 Years)
• Flexibility to adapt to shifting priorities and needs of multiple stakeholders (3 Years)
• Strong SQL and/or SAS technical skills and the ability to query large and/or complicated data sets. (3 Years)
• Familiarity with Medicaid and health care and associated rules, regulations, and standards (2 Years)
• Knowledge and demonstrated experience in the analysis of population health delivery models, care delivery models, care management models, clinical pro (2 Years)
• Understanding of clinical workflows and/or familiarity with medical coding and electronic health records (2 Years)
• Understanding of digital quality measurement (2 Years)

Nice To Haves

• Familiarity with Medicaid and health care and associated rules, regulations, and standards
• Knowledge and demonstrated experience in the analysis of population health delivery models, care management models, clinical program innovations, quality improvement initiatives, and system redesign

Responsibilities

• Assist with the implementation of QPHE's project to leverage NC HealthConnex for quality and population health
• Coordinate with internal business units, including business information and clinical services, to execute operational tasks and ensure smooth project implementation
• Query, profile, and analyze data provided by NC HealthConnex and assist with improving data quality and useability.
• Collect and synthesize information and feedback from internal and external stakeholders, including Prepaid Health Plans, providers, and other divisions in NCDHHS, and use it to inform decision-making.
