About The Position

A Private/Healthcare Portfolio Manager II manages or assists with the management of a predetermined portfolio of existing client relationships, including new credit, renewals, modifications, covenant compliance, and financial monitoring and reporting. They assist Relationship Managers with client and prospect loan needs, analysis to include financial spreads, term sheets, commitment letters and documentation/closing, and all duties assigned. This role involves new credit underwriting for loan requests with more complexity, potentially requiring limited assistance and additional oversight. Responsibilities include renewals/modifications, financial monitoring and reporting, covenant compliance, quarterly risk ratings, ensuring accuracy of bank loan documentation and perfection of the Bank’s security interest in collateral, timely processing of credit requests and renewals, analyzing and completing term loan reviews, performing ongoing loan administration, file maintenance, and collection of financials with some support from the primary Relationship Manager. The role also requires ensuring all bank loan files, both hardcopy and digital, are updated, organized, and complete, and performing a multitude of written and verbal communication tasks to ensure completion of assigned projects. There is an expectation for some proficiency with Cross-sell and deepening client relationships. The role requires demonstrating compliance with all bank regulations for the assigned job function, keeping up-to-date on regulation changes, and following all Bank policies and procedures, compliance regulations, and completing all required annual or job-specific training. A working knowledge of Bank's written policies and procedures regarding Bank Secrecy Act, Regulation CC, Regulation E, Bank Security and other applicable regulations is necessary. The role may involve coaching, mentoring, or training others and teaching coursework as a subject matter expert. The position requires actively learning, demonstrating, and fostering the Columbia corporate culture in all actions and words, taking personal initiative, and being a positive example for others. Requirements

  • 3 years of industry work experience (Required)
  • Thorough understanding of and ability to interpret complex accounting literature and accounting pronouncements, regulations, practice and theory, as well as the ability to apply this knowledge to day-to-day activities
  • Advanced computer skills with an emphasis on Microsoft Office
  • Strong organizational and project management skills
  • Effective team player
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills
  • Understanding of and compliance with all bank credit policies and procedures
  • General understanding of commercial and real estate underwriting
  • Ability to engage and develop relationships with all internal bank departments

Responsibilities
