About The Position

Pleasant View Communities is seeking a Healthcare Cook passionate about preparing food and supporting resident satisfaction in a Life Plan Community in Manheim, Pennsylvania. The cook prepares a variety of foods in large quantities while maintaining quality and consistency, following standardized recipes and portion controls, and adhering to safe food handling and sanitation practices. The role calls for dependability, organization, strong communication and teamwork, and the ability to work in a fast-paced team environment.

This is a full-time position with shifts of 10 a.m.–7 p.m. or 9 a.m.–5:30 p.m. The schedule includes every other weekend and every other holiday. Pay ranges from $17 to $23 per hour.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Knowledge of safe food handling and sanitation practices.
• Ability to prepare a variety of foods in large quantities while maintaining quality and consistency.
• Ability to follow standardized recipes and portion controls.
• Dependability and organization.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced team environment.

Nice To Haves

• At least one year of experience in healthcare, restaurant, senior living, or food service.
• Culinary education or formal culinary training.
• Experience with therapeutic diets, texture-modified diets, or senior dining.
