This is a field-based role requiring 4–5 days per week in the community, meeting face-to-face with physicians, clinics, hospitals, and schools to build and sustain referral relationships. The Healthcare Business Development Manager will be responsible for building and maintaining strong, consultative relationships with physicians, healthcare providers, therapy clinics, hospitals, schools, and community organizations. They will develop and execute strategic account plans for priority referral sources, identifying opportunities to deepen relationships and increase referrals. Daily outreach will be conducted primarily through in-person visits, supplemented by virtual meetings, educational presentations, networking events, and purposeful follow-up. The role involves representing Behavior Frontiers at community events, conferences, resource fairs, and professional networking opportunities, serving as a trusted resource by educating referral partners on ABA therapy, autism services, insurance access, and Behavior Frontiers' clinical programs. Proactive identification and engagement of new referral sources through thoughtful prospecting, networking, and market development activities are key. The position also requires developing and executing territory growth strategies aligned with organizational goals and center capacity, identifying referral barriers and collaborating with internal teams to improve access for families, and analyzing referral trends, market opportunities, and competitive activity to inform outreach priorities. Maintaining a balanced pipeline of prospective, developing, and established referral relationships and participating in strategic business development initiatives to support regional growth are also essential. Collaboration with Clinical Directors, Center Leaders, Intake, Operations, and other cross-functional teams is crucial for aligning outreach efforts, communicating referral and market trends, supporting educational engagement, and delivering an exceptional experience. The role requires maintaining accurate account information, referral activity, opportunity forecasting, and relationship history within Salesforce, and utilizing Salesforce reporting and pipeline data to prioritize outreach efforts and communicate territory performance. Continuous expansion of knowledge of autism spectrum disorder, ABA therapy, payer landscapes, and community resources, participation in ongoing sales, communication, and professional development training, and remaining current on industry trends and best practices in healthcare outreach and referral development are expected. Additional responsibilities include demonstrating a high level of professionalism, accountability, and integrity, adhering to all company policies, compliance requirements, and industry guidelines, and traveling throughout assigned regions 4–5 days per week, including overnight travel as needed. Participation in occasional evening and weekend community events and performing other duties as assigned are also part of the role.
