About The Position

MDOffice Manager is a growing healthcare billing and practice management company supporting medical providers across multiple specialties nationwide. We are seeking a detail-oriented and highly organized Healthcare Administrative Assistant to support our billing operations team. This role is critical in maintaining workflow efficiency, supporting revenue cycle processes, and ensuring accurate communication between providers, payers, and internal teams. The ideal candidate thrives in a fast-paced environment and understands the importance of accuracy in healthcare billing.

Requirements

  • High school diploma required
  • 1–3 years of experience in healthcare administration, billing, or medical office operations
  • Familiarity with EHR/EMR systems and billing platforms
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to multitask and meet deadlines in a high-volume environment

Nice To Haves

  • Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree preferred
  • Basic understanding of revenue cycle management preferred
  • Knowledge of CPT, ICD-10, and HCPCS coding
  • Experience with Medicare, Medicaid, and commercial insurance
  • Exposure to multi-specialty billing environments
  • Experience with claim follow-up and denial resolution
  • Prior work with billing companies or centralized billing departments

Responsibilities

  • Provide administrative and operational support to the billing and coding team
  • Assist with insurance verification, eligibility checks, and prior authorizations
  • Track claim submissions, payment status, and follow-ups with payers
  • Support denial management by gathering documentation and assisting with appeals
  • Maintain and update billing systems, EHR/EMR platforms, and internal trackers
  • Communicate with providers, staff, and insurance companies regarding billing issues
  • Ensure all documentation meets compliance standards including HIPAA
  • Assist with reporting, data entry, and reconciliation tasks
  • Manage incoming calls, emails, and administrative requests efficiently
  • Support process improvement initiatives within the revenue cycle
