About The Position

St. Luke's University Health Network (SLUHN) is seeking a Healthcare Administration Intern to support Network Professional Development, the Network Simulation Center, or Network Education. This internship offers the opportunity to contribute to simulation center marketing and optimization efforts, including updating digital platforms, developing trainer materials, creating instructions for use, and enhancing internal resource sites. The intern will work independently on assigned projects, collaborate with teams, and utilize technology to complete tasks while maintaining confidentiality and adhering to network policies. This role emphasizes service excellence, performance improvement, and financial responsibility.

Requirements

  • Recent graduates or current students enrolled in a two or four year college or university.
  • Preference given to students enrolled in a related academic program.
  • Must be able to stoop/bend; reach above shoulder level; squat; crouch; kneel; climb; lift heavy supplies and equipment; touch to perceive size, shape temperature and texture; hear high frequencies and day to day conversations, perceive objects near and far; and distinguish chromatic colors.
  • Should have good peripheral vision and depth perception.

Responsibilities

  • Assist with contributing to simulation center marketing and optimization efforts.

  • Support a department’s goals by providing assistance, ideas and solutions.
  • Work independently to complete tasks by assigned deadlines, following instructions given by manager for short-term and long-term projects.
  • Collaborate with a team to work on projects and make process improvements.
  • Professionally communicate, effectively prioritize tasks and manage time well.
  • Learn and utilize technology, software/hardware, tools and/or internal processes to complete assignments and tasks.
  • Maintain confidentiality of all materials handled within the Network/ Entity as well as the proper release of information.
  • Comply with Network and departmental policies regarding issues of employee, patient and environmental safety and follow appropriate reporting requirements.
  • Demonstrate/model the Network’s Service Excellence Standards of Performance in interactions with all customers (internal and external).
  • Demonstrate Performance Improvement in the following areas as appropriate: Clinical Care/Outcomes, Customer/Service Improvement, Operational System/Process, and Safety.
  • Demonstrate financial responsibility and accountability through the effective and efficient use of resources in daily procedures, processes and practices.
  • Comply with Network and departmental policies regarding attendance and dress code.
