About The Position

Under general supervision, the Health & Wellness Engagement Assistant helps members with issues related to their health and wellness benefits and enrolls prospective participants in appropriate programs. The role serves as a trusted resource for health and wellness programs and handles inbound and outbound calls about those programs. The position is 100% onsite at Trinity Hospital in Ann Arbor and is listed under the BCCC Commercial Operations department.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED equivalent.
• Two years of experience in a healthcare delivery system, provider office, or the insurance industry.
• Three to five years of work experience in customer service or sales.
• Intermediate-to-advanced computer skills.
• Working knowledge of personal computers.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to perform the essential duties satisfactorily; reasonable accommodations may be made for individuals with disabilities.

Nice To Haves

• Bachelor’s degree in a healthcare-related field.
• Two to three years of inbound/outbound call center experience.
• Motivational interviewing experience.
• Experience working with the CareAdvance platform.
• Other related skills or abilities that may be required to perform the job.

Responsibilities

• Handle member questions about group health and wellness solutions and requirements.
• Engage prospective participants in discussions about program benefits and enrollment in health and wellness services.
• Coordinate services with providers.
• Handle referrals from providers and members.
• Provide navigation and support for member portal interactions.
• Schedule initial appointments for members.
• Administer member satisfaction surveys.
• Assist with documenting departmental procedures.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
