About The Position

Our client, a health insurance company, is seeking a Health and Wellness Engagement Assistant for its Detroit, MI location. The assistant supports members with group health and wellness solutions, enrollment, provider coordination, referrals, member portal navigation, appointment scheduling, satisfaction surveys, and documentation of departmental procedures.

Requirements

• High school graduate or GED equivalent required.
• Two years of experience in a healthcare delivery system, provider office, or the insurance industry required.
• Three to five years of work experience in customer service or sales required.
• Intermediate to advanced computer skills required.

Nice To Haves

• Bachelor’s degree in a healthcare-related field preferred.
• Two to three years of inbound/outbound call center work experience preferred.
• Motivational interviewing experience preferred.
• Experience working with the CareAdvance platform preferred.

Responsibilities

• Handle member questions regarding group health and wellness solutions and requirements.
• Engage prospective participants in discussions about program benefits and enrollment in health and wellness services.
• Assist with coordination of services with providers.
• Handle referrals from providers and members.
• Provide navigation and support for member portal interactions.
• Schedule initial appointments for members.
• Administer member satisfaction surveys.
• Assist in documenting departmental procedures.
