About The Position

Pegasus Landing of Chisholm Trails is an 88-bed Independent Living and Memory Care community located in Keene, TX. We are seeking a dynamic Health and Wellness Director (HWD) / Director of Nursing (DON) who will be an integral member of the management team, contributing healthcare leadership and expertise to promote an environment of optimal living for residents. The Health & Wellness Director will plan, organize, and direct the overall operation of clinical services in accordance with applicable regulations, policies, and guidelines to foster the highest degree of quality care. This role requires compliance with all local, state, and federal regulations and a focus on employee and resident safety. Requirements

• LPN/LVN Supervisory/Management experience in Assisted Living & Memory Care is required.
• Current license as an LVN, LPN, or Registered Nurse in good standing.
• Five years' previous management experience preferred.
• Knowledgeable of standards of care and practices applicable to the delivery of geriatric services, complex medical conditions, multiple medical diagnoses, including preventive measures, rehabilitation, and promoting independence.
• Experience in geriatric nursing or gerontology, including education in the aging process, memory decline and related behavior management highly preferred.
• Expertise in most up-to-date safety and infection control practices.
• Experience building and leading effective nursing teams including hiring, training and development.
• Strong and Compelling Leadership.
• High Judgement and Diplomacy.
• Effective & balanced Conflict Resolution experience.

• A bachelor’s degree in nursing preferred.
• RN preferred.
• Five to seven years’ experience in a senior care environment preferred.

Responsibilities

• Plan, organize, and direct the overall operation of clinical services in accordance with applicable regulations, policies, and guidelines to foster the highest degree of quality care.
• Comply with all local, state, and federal regulations and focus on employee and resident safety.
• Maintain, manage, and inspire a full team through recruiting, interviewing, mentoring, and coaching.
• Perform comprehensive assessments, coordinate individualized care plans, and provide empathetic, personalized care.
• Liaise seamlessly with internal staff, third-party vendors, and medical professionals.
• Lead staff meetings, manage service agreements, update physician order sheets, and assure compliance with healthcare protocols.
• Ensure proper medication management, complete timely audits, handle incident reporting, and conduct investigations.
• Assist community during emergencies.
