Health Unit Coordinator- MICU - Part Time Weekends
About The Position
A 28-beds across two adult intensive care units that are a high-energy, fast-paced, and intellectually stimulating critical care environment where health care teams can learn and grow while providing patient centered care for a diverse, critically ill patient population. MICU has a wide scope of practice encompassing adult patients with complex acute and chronic medical conditions in all systems. Some MICU therapies include continuous dialysis, rapid transfusers, ventilators, central venous catheters, etc. This position is a Part Time Benefitted Weekend Only position from 7am-7:30pm Saturdays and Sundays.
Requirements
- High School Graduate or Equivalent.

Responsibilities
- Under the direction of the manager or designee supports the functions of the unit/area by performing receptionist and clerical duties.
- Maintains the medical record in good form.
- Communicates effectively using established systems/protocols.
- Communicates effectively with ancillary departments.
- Maintains unit supplies/forms appropriately.
- Assumes responsibility for professional development of self and contributes to and assists with the professional development of others.
- In addition to the above job responsibilities, other duties may be assigned.
