About The Position

CentraCare is hiring a Health Unit Coordinator for its Float Pool. The HUC serves as a communication link for the unit and supports patient care by greeting and assisting patients, families, guests, and providers; managing telephone communications; organizing and maintaining patient charts; and performing clerical and receptionist duties. The position floats to all inpatient units at St. Cloud Hospital.

This is a part-time role working 36 hours every two weeks on 12-hour night shifts from 7:00 p.m. to 7:30 a.m. The schedule includes every third weekend and holidays according to unit policy. Starting pay is $20.31 per hour, with increases based on experience; the stated pay range is $20.31–$30.47 per hour. Extra pay is available for evening, night, and weekend shifts.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent experience or knowledge.
• Knowledge of medical terminology.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills.

Nice To Haves

• Certification as a National Health Unit Coordinator.
• One year of experience with office procedures and equipment, including computer experience.
