About The Position
The Health Unit Coordinator (HUC) position offers an excellent opportunity to provide high-quality patient care, monitoring, and mobility. This role is ideal for skilled communicators who enjoy being a central point of communication. Requirements
- Completion of an approved Unit Secretary vocational training course or currently enrolled in a clinical education program OR previous patient care experience of one (1) year or equivalent clerical experience of one (1) year in a medical setting.
Responsibilities
- Perform receptionist and communications duties.
- Support care delivery and services to patients from diverse ethnic and social groups.
- Regularly utilize independent decision-making capacities and strong interpersonal skills.
- Collaborate with Clinical Director and/or RN for optimal care delivery and patient services.
