About The Position

Performs administrative/clerical duties in support of an assigned nursing area. Performs basic patient care activities as delegated and supervised by an RN, including but not limited to: monitoring vital signs, EKG testing, phlebotomy, taking blood glucose measurements, and recording intake and output. Additional duties as assigned. Assists with keeping patient rooms/areas stocked, clean and orderly. Assists patients with tending to personal care and activities of daily living, including bathing, grooming, and eating. Assist with transporting patients, as needed. Monitors patient status and response; Reports abnormal findings or changes in physical, mental, and emotional conditions to nursing staff.

Requirements

  • No Degree or any other education earned (Required)
  • BLS American Heart E-Card (BLS AHA ECARD) - American Heart Association (AMERICAN HEART), BLS Cert American Heart_non ecard (BLS AHA) - American Heart Association (AMERICAN HEART), BLS Certification Grace (BLS GRACE) - Employee Grace Period for Essential Credential (GRACE), BLS Cert Red Cross (BLS RC) - Red Cross (RED CROSS)
  • Requires critical thinking skills, effective communications skills, decisive judgment and the ability to work with minimal supervision.
  • Must be able to work in a stressful environment and take appropriate action.
  • Requires familiarity with medical terminology.
  • No prior work experience required.
