About The Position

The Health & Safety Industrial Hygiene Program Lead for our Corporate Health & Safety team supports all Metallus operational locations. This position will perform industrial hygiene and safety duties, while aiding in the development of programs, tools, and training.

Requirements

Understanding of federal, state, and local regulations
ISO 45001 or equivalent health and safety management systems
Communication and presentation skills
Project management skills
Problem solving and self-starting skills
Attention to detail, analytical, and organization skills
Hands-on safety approach
Associate's degree in industrial hygiene, safety, engineering, or related with a minimum of 9 years of experience in industrial hygiene, health and safety, or heavy manufacturing

Nice To Haves

Bachelor's degree in industrial hygiene, safety, engineering, or related with a minimum of 7 years of experience in industrial hygiene, health and safety, or heavy manufacturing

Responsibilities

Leads industrial hygiene programs across Metallus plants.
Works directly with plant leadership teams in each plant, including the value-add plants (STC, TP, Monterrey) to customize to their unique applications.
Partners with key stakeholders to deploy industrial hygiene surveying and initiatives across the organization.
Develops industrial hygiene training materials and compliance programs based on compliance and best practice approaches.
Supports Safety team to drive initiatives across the organization.
Collaborates with cross-functional teams including Training, Communications, Labor, HR, Environmental, and Operations leaders.
Develops audit protocols and tools to audit implementation and participate in audits to verify implementation.
Supports the internal and external health & safety audit and assurance processes.
Serves as the SME for the Metallus health and safety programs to answer questions from the plants.
