In this role, you will lead the Senior and Disabilities Services (SDS) Grants Unit, overseeing grant programs that deliver essential community-based supports to individuals and families statewide. You will work with funding from the Older Americans Act, the Mental Health Trust Authority, general funds, interagency agreements, and other federal sources, ensuring these resources are used effectively and in compliance with state and federal requirements. Your work will include guiding program operations and building strong, collaborative relationships with grantees and partner agencies at both the state and federal levels. Senior and Disabilities Services promotes health, well-being, and safety for individuals with disabilities, seniors, and vulnerable adults by facilitating access to quality services and supports that foster independence, personal choice, and dignity.

Requirements

  • A Bachelor's degree from an accredited college in biological, health or behavioral science; health practice; education; public, healthcare, or business administration; or a closely related field; AND/OR Progressively responsible professional supervisory or lead level experience performing health program planning, development, coordination, evaluation, or implementation; providing technical health care assistance and consultation; conducting health care utilization or quality assurance examinations; and/or delivering health care service.

  • Must rate proficiency level for each competency listed in the supplemental questions.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the Senior and Disabilities Services (SDS) Grants Unit, overseeing grant programs that deliver essential community-based supports to individuals and families statewide.
  • Work with funding from the Older Americans Act, the Mental Health Trust Authority, general funds, interagency agreements, and other federal sources, ensuring these resources are used effectively and in compliance with state and federal requirements.
  • Guide program operations and build strong, collaborative relationships with grantees and partner agencies at both the state and federal levels.
  • Conduct grantee site visits and attend necessary meetings and conferences.
