About The Position

This position supports the Statewide Coordinator of Self-Directed Services with responsibilities and oversight of the DDA’s operated Medicaid 1915 (c) home and community-based services waivers Self-Directed Services delivery model. This includes participant enrollment and engagement in the Self-Directed Services delivery model, including planning, organizing, operationalizing, implementing, administering and supervising the interpretation and application of agency policies, directives and procedures, and quality assurances to accomplish the DDA mission and goals. Quality assurance activities include the discovery of information, audits, remediation, reporting, and systems improvement. This position's primary responsibility is the end-to-end management of data systems supporting Self-Directed Services within the DDA-operated Medicaid 1915(c) Home and Community-Based Services (HCBS) waiver. Beyond system oversight, the position conducts regular audits to ensure data integrity, drafts comprehensive reports for state and federal stakeholders, and authors updates to policy and operational manuals. This role is critical for translating complex data into actionable policy improvements and ensuring program compliance.

Requirements

  • A Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university.
  • One year of experience performing qualitative or quantitative analysis.
  • Possession of a motor vehicle operator’s license valid in the State of Maryland (if assigned duties requiring vehicle operation).

Nice To Haves

  • Strong data and analytical skills including, but not limited to using various systems and creating dashboards, pivot tables, reports, and other visuals.
  • Ability to review documents carefully, spot inconsistencies, and ensure compliance with established guidelines.
  • Experience managing multiple data streams, tracking outstanding items, and maintaining accurate records.
  • Eighteen credit hours towards a Master’s degree in Health Sciences, Health Care Administration, Public Policy or closely related field from an accredited college or university.
