About The Position

Join a dynamic team at Seattle Children’s Hospital dedicated to prioritizing health equity in the experience of giving and receiving care. This position increases awareness of health disparities through research, data and evaluation, cultural humility, and community partnerships. The consultant collaborates with leaders to design interventions and develop educational solutions that meet staff and providers’ needs. The role serves as a primary resource for hospital staff and providers seeking consultation to explore barriers to equitable care and remain focused on health equity. The position is hybrid remote and limited to Washington State, with three days in the office at the hospital’s main campus.

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in a healthcare-related field, such as Public Health, Social Work, Communications, or Education.
At least three years of experience in a healthcare, community, research, or educational setting working with multidisciplinary teams.
Experience providing consultation to employees or staff at different levels.
Demonstrated ability to work with people of diverse backgrounds.
Demonstrated understanding of health disparities and inequities, diversity, cultural humility, and inclusion.

Nice To Haves

Policy and clinical experience.
Master’s degree in a healthcare-related field, such as Public Health, Social Work, Education, or Communications.
Five years of experience working with a multidisciplinary team in patient care or patient-focused research in an academic medical or pediatric setting.
