About The Position

Wellmark is growing its Pharmacy team and has created this opportunity for an analyst who can blend clinical insights with data-driven analysis. Also known internally as a Clinical Pharmacy Analyst, the role uses foundational clinical pharmacy knowledge and analytical skills to evaluate pharmacy solutions that affect healthcare delivery. The analyst gathers, validates, and interprets clinical and economic evidence, contributes to analyses and models that quantify expected benefits, costs, and risks, and turns findings into concise, actionable recommendations for decision makers. Recommendations should communicate financial impact, member and provider experience, and health outcomes. The role collaborates with Business Analytics, Actuarial, and Health Services teams on solution performance measurement, data integrity, and documentation. It also supports formulary maintenance, conducts HEOR and CER literature reviews, and helps prepare presentations. The analyst will continue developing expertise in pharmacoeconomic methods and consultative communication. The position follows a hybrid schedule: at least three days (Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday) in Wellmark’s Des Moines office, with the option to work remotely Monday and Friday.
