About The Position
This is an entry- level position on site. The primary function of a Health Information Management (HIM) Specialist I is to assist in all of the on-site operation needs of the JEMH Health Information Management Department. This includes, but is not limited to, preparing/scanning paper-based documents, quantitatively and qualitatively analyzing a hybrid chart in multiple systems, and assisting in the release of information to patients and providers.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Previous clerical experience required
- Proficiency in alpha and numerical filing required.
- Strong organizational and communication skills; able to follow both written and verbal directions required.
- Knowledge and experience working with software applications, specifically Microsoft Windows required.
Nice To Haves
- Health Information Management preferred.
