The Health Information Manager will lead day-to-day HIM operations across multiple locations: overseeing legal medical records record completion release of information documentation compliance medical record integrity workflow optimization regulatory compliance. This individual will also manage a large HIM team, drive process improvement initiatives, partner with IT on EHR optimization, and serve as the primary HIM liaison across the organization.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Health Information or related field
  • Minimum 5 years of leadership experience as a Supervisor, Manager, or Director
  • Acute care hospital experience strongly preferred
  • Strong knowledge of HIM operations
  • Strong knowledge of HIPAA, CMS, Joint Commission, and regulatory compliance
  • Strong knowledge of Release of Information (ROI) and legal medical records
  • Strong knowledge of Documentation compliance
  • Strong knowledge of EHR implementation/optimization
  • Strong knowledge of Medical record integrity
  • Strong knowledge of Budgeting, staffing, productivity, and operational management
  • General knowledge of coding

  • An experienced HIM leader with a strong operational background who has successfully managed large teams, improved HIM workflows, partnered with IT on EHR initiatives, and ensured regulatory compliance while driving departmental performance.
