About The Position

Centra Rehabilitation Hospital is a brand-new 50 bed inpatient rehabilitation facility opening in 2026. We offer high-quality, compassionate care for a wide variety of patients in need. Our teams provide evidence-based, transformational care for a broad range of injuries and illnesses in a compassionate, comfortable environment. This role is for a Health Information Management Manager (HIM) who will work collaboratively with physicians and hospital staff to assure completion of records that meet all regulatory and facility requirements. The HIM Manager will review and respond to daily fatal error reports for HIM related issues, answer inquiries from internal and external contacts regarding information recorded in patient’s medical records, and respond appropriately to any potential HIM issues. Additionally, the HIM Manager will report/record HIPAA incidents in a timely manner and investigate to determine if a breach of confidentiality occurred. The role also involves performing timely audits on medical charts to ensure documentation is complete and accurate, preparing/auditing medical records post discharge to assure all required documentation is present, and accurately recording and monitoring the departmental deficiency rate, maintaining the rate below 30%.

Requirements

  • Previous experience in health information management required
  • Associates or Bachelor’s degree preferred.
  • Prefer Registered Health Information Administrator (RHIA) or Registered Health Information Technician (RHIT).
  • Valid driver’s license preferred.
  • May be required to work flexible hours.
