About The Position

Sage Specialty Hospital located in Wichita Falls, TX is seeking a Full-Time Health Information Management Coordinator (HIM Coordinator) to join its team! The Health Information Management Coordinator performs hospital medical records clerical functions primarily through the electronic medical record (EMR), while reconciling paper chart components in the hybrid record. The Coordinator analyzes records for completeness, identifies and follows up on documentation deficiencies, scans and indexes documents, maintains record availability, and processes authorized requests for information.

Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent required.
Two+ years of hospital medical records experience preferred, including analysis of medical records and documentation in an EMR.
Experience with paper chart assembly, scanning and indexing, incomplete record tracking, and release of information preferred.
Knowledge of medical terminology, confidentiality practices, and hospital documentation workflows; strong attention to detail and computer skills.
Must be able to read, write, and speak English.

Nice To Haves

Responsibilities

Analyzes medical records and documentation in the EMR.

Supports record completion and routine reporting.
