About The Position

Spring View Hospital, part of Lifepoint Health, is seeking a Health Information Management Analyst to support accurate and complete health records. The role assembles and reviews inpatient, short stay surgery, rehabilitation, and observation records. This is an on-site position with no remote work allowed. The schedule is Monday through Friday, 7:30 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. EST.

Requirements

• Minimum of 6 months of work experience.

Nice To Haves

• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• Associate’s degree in health information technology preferred.
• HIM or medical records experience preferred.
• Prior experience in an acute care setting preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assemble and review inpatient, short stay surgery, rehabilitation, and observation records for accuracy and completeness of documentation.
• Analyze medical records for chart completion deficiencies in accordance with regulatory requirements and medical staff rules and regulations.
• Assign deficiencies to the appropriate medical staff member and enter data for tracking and monitoring.
• Review documentation and update or clear deficiencies as appropriate.
• Answer telephone calls and assist visitors, including physicians, patients, and family members, while maintaining confidentiality.
• Perform HIM Tech duties as assigned.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
