About The Position
The Health Informatics Specialist will be responsible for providing analytic support, quantifying business requirements, and performing analyses, forecasting, and data mining to support cross-functional teams and stakeholders. This role involves reviewing patients’ records for timeliness, completeness, and accuracy, while communicating with cross-functional teams as appropriate. The specialist will ensure the quality maintenance of patient information/medical records within applicable laws, policies, rules, and regulations. Other duties as assigned or required.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree in Clinical Healthcare field, Business Discipline, and or Healthcare Management, Health Information Management or Information Science or equivalent experience
- Two years of work experience in an acute care health information management setting
- Working knowledge of medical terminology
- Demonstrate advanced ability to operate a computer, multiple software applications, and other office equipment as necessary
