About The Position

GLP Attorneys is seeking a Medical Records Specialist/Senior Medical Records Specialist to join their Burlington office. This is a full-time, in-office position scheduled Monday through Friday, from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. The role is ideal for a detail-oriented professional who thrives in a structured, team-oriented environment and takes pride in keeping complex information organized and accessible. Requirements

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
  • Accurate typing skills of at least 50 words per minute.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills.
  • Exceptional attention to detail.
  • Sound problem-solving abilities.
  • Ability to work both independently and collaboratively.
  • Solid understanding of clerical procedures and records management.
  • High school diploma or GED.
  • Prior clerical experience.
  • Strong written communication skills.
  • Comfortable communicating with clients and healthcare providers.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities while meeting deadlines in a team-oriented environment.

Nice To Haves

  • College degree.

Responsibilities

  • Works closely with assigned legal teams to retrieve, organize, and evaluate medical records.
  • Obtains and manages medical records.
  • Enters and maintains accurate data in case management systems.
  • Ensures the confidentiality and security of medical information in compliance with HIPAA and HITECH requirements.
  • Applies RCW guidelines related to the cost and release of medical records and billing.
  • Proactively follows up with providers while maintaining clear communication with legal team members.
