About The Position

The Health Center Clinical Manager oversees the daily operations of a Community Health Center providing Family Practice services within a Patient-Centered Medical Home (PCMH) model. This role ensures efficient, patient-focused, and financially sound operations while fostering community relationships and supporting the center’s growth. The manager will oversee clinical responsibilities, coordinating patient care to achieve optimal clinical outcomes while providing evidence-based care in accordance with established policies and protocols. This leadership role requires collaboration with a multidisciplinary healthcare team to support quality improvement initiatives and departmental safety standards, while ensuring cost-effective resource utilization.

  • Develops and implements corrective action plans to prevent future occurrences.
  • Addresses quality of care concerns promptly, collaborating with clinical staff to identify root causes and implement necessary changes.
  • Manages time and attendance records and reports.
  • Coordinates student and volunteer services.
  • Adjusts strategies as needed to meet budget, profitability, and productivity targets.

  • Drives quality improvement initiatives by identifying areas for enhancement in clinical practices and patient outcomes.
  • Leads efforts to develop, implement, and evaluate quality improvement projects that align with organizational goals.
  • Conducts regular audits of clinical practices and outcomes to ensure compliance with established protocols and standards of care.
  • Ensures the health center meets all state vaccine program requirements, including maintaining accurate documentation and tracking vaccination rates among patients.
  • Stays informed about and complies with all applicable federal, state, and local regulations governing healthcare practices.
  • Maintains up-to-date knowledge of regulatory standards to ensure the clinic is always survey ready.
  • Prepares for regulatory inspections and surveys, addressing any identified deficiencies in a timely manner.
  • Supports patient eligibility and enrollment processes for AHCCCS, sliding fee scales, and other programs.
  • Promotes and participates in interdisciplinary communication and collaboration to enhance the delivery of quality across the health care system.

Responsibilities

  • Recruit, hire, train, evaluate, and coach front and back-office staff.
