About The Position

The Health Care Technician II serves as a role model and mentor to other HCT I’s throughout the facility and provides quality care to patients on 1 Oak. The Adolescent Unit is a co-ed, inpatient unit serving individuals from the ages of 12-17. The objective of the adolescent unit is to provide a safe and structured environment for crisis stabilization. As an essential member of a multidisciplinary care team, the HCT II practices therapeutic principles when providing care to the patients they serve. Nursing care is performed under the supervision of a Registered Nurse.

Requirements

High school or General Educational Development diploma and one year of related work experience; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
Must successfully pass all required parts of CPI’s Non-Violent Crisis Intervention as a condition for continued employment.
Listing as a Nurse Aide I by the North Carolina Division of Health Service Regulation.
Listing as a Nurse Aide II by the North Carolina Board of Nursing (as applicable).
North Carolina Emergency Medical Technician (EMT) certification (as applicable).
