Health Care Technician II - Hope & Wellness Center - Cherry Hospital
About The Position
The Health Care Technician II (HCT) serves as a role model and mentor to other HCT I’s throughout the facility and provides quality care to patients on the Treatment Mall. As an essential member of a multidisciplinary care team, the HCT II practices therapeutic principles when providing care to the patients they serve. A typical day on the Hope and Wellness Center consists of interacting with patients and teammates. Teammates provide structured skill building activities and interaction in various settings throughout the day. While at the Hope and Wellness Center, patients receive structured skill building activities/group therapies based on their treatment planning goals.
Requirements
- High school or General Educational Development diploma and one year of related work experience; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Must successfully pass all required parts of CPI’s Non-Violent Crisis Intervention.
- Must adhere to the facility's Vaccination Policy.
Nice To Haves
- Nurse Aide I listing by the North Carolina Division of Health Service Regulation.
- Knowledge of the principles of growth and development as well as the physical, emotions and psychosocial needs of the patient population served.
- Knowledge and skills to provide patient care appropriate to the age of the patients served on the assigned unit.
- Listing as a Nurse Aide II by the North Carolina Board of Nursing.
- North Carolina Emergency Medical Technician (EMT) certification.
