About The Position

The Adult Admissions Unit is an inpatient unit serving individuals from the ages of 18 years of age and older. The objective of the AAU unit is to provide a safe and structured environment for crisis stabilization. A multidisciplinary treatment team targets a broad range of psychiatric illnesses and behavioral challenges with various therapeutic programs and educational groups. HCT II serves as a role model and mentor to other HCT I’s throughout the facility and provides quality care to patients on the unit. The HCT II works closely with the Registered Nurse and Clinical Nurse Manager to train and orient new HCT I’s team members, facilitate professional communication and provide feedback to improve processes and quality care. Nursing care is performed under the supervision of a Registered Nurse. This is a 2nd shift position (3pm – 11:30 pm).

Requirements

  • High school or General Educational Development diploma and one year of related work experience; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Must successfully pass all required parts of CPI’s Non-Violent Crisis Intervention.
  • Must be listed as a Nurse Aide I by the North Carolina Division of Health Service Regulation.
