About The Position

Murdoch Developmental Center is currently recruiting for a Health Care Technician II located at Newport Cottage, Unit1 and reports to the Unit Manager. This position serves as a Supervisory technician and monitors the care provided by the Health Care Technician I’s providing feedback to staff as needed. This position provides specialized direct services to adults with intellectual developmental disabilities, some of whom may have behavior problems and/or medical conditions in the form of behavioral programming, habilitative training/activities, and in assisting with necessary health care, personal care and all aspects of daily living. ALL employees of Murdoch Center are designated as ESSENTIAL for adverse weather and emergency events.

Requirements

High school or General Educational Development diploma and one year of related work experience; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
Must be in good standing with the North Carolina Health Care Personnel Registry.

Nice To Haves

Experience working with Multi-handicapped individuals having knowledge of basic health care, hygiene and safety.
Knowledge of approved behavioral intervention programs
