About The Position

The Health Care Technician I will ensure a home-like environment for people with developmental disabilities or who have a dual diagnosis that ensures personal outcomes and to achieve a therapeutic milieu for up to 12 persons. Additionally, as a Health Care Technician I you can expect to: Provide care and instruction in daily living activities for persons receiving services, such as bathing, eating and personal hygiene, to ensure personal outcomes are met as determined by their Individual Plans. Follow and implement assigned individualized supports and services for residents. Programs include behavior, social, recreation, work and specialized therapies; residential and day program areas and community settings. Provide/assist in the implementation of learning, support or experience programs. Refine the physical condition of the living site by addressing safety concerns, making purchases, decorating living areas and performing housekeeping duties. Transport individuals receiving services to/from appointments, scheduled events and emergency transports. This position may be required to work other locations and/or shifts as needed to address agency resource needs. Other Duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or General Education Diploma (GED)
  • Current valid LPT license in good standing or be QMAP trained
  • State of Colorado residency at the time of application (unless otherwise identified in the posting), and residency within the state throughout the duration of employment in this position.
  • Must possess a valid, non-restricted Colorado Driver’s License or a non-restricted U.S. Driver's License for positions within 30 miles of the CO state border
  • Out-of-State Driver’s License holders must obtain a valid, non-restricted Colorado Driver’s License within 30 days of employment start date.
  • TB test is required
  • Requires Influenza and other vaccines as required by state and facility
  • Must be 18 years or older.
  • Exert up to 50 lbs. of force occasionally, and/or up to 20 lbs. of force frequently, and/or up to 10 lbs. of force constantly to move objects
