About The Position

The Montana Department of Public Health and Human Services (DPHHS) has a career opportunity within the Health Care Facilities Division. The Health Care Facilities Executive Director provides leadership and comprehensive management for seven (7) state-run care facilities. This pivotal role involves overseeing programs and services, strategic planning, financial stewardship, human resources management, physical plant and information system operations, regulatory compliance, quality enhancement, and risk management. Additionally, the Executive Director will support the governing boards for the Montana State Hospital (MHS) and the Montana Mental Health Nursing Care Center (MMHNCC). Requirements

• Master’s degree in Health Care Administration, Public Health, Business Administration, or a related field.
• Multi-facility health system leadership experience is required.
• Minimum of 10 years of progressive leadership experience in health care administration.
• Experience with government health care facilities is strongly preferred.
• Proven track record of managing large, complex health systems and driving operational and financial improvements.
• In-depth knowledge of health care laws and regulations, compliance standards, and quality improvement methodologies.
• Strong financial acumen and experience in budget management and resource allocation.
• Excellent interpersonal, communication, and leadership skills, with ability to inspire and motivate senior leadership teams.
• Demonstrated ability to build and maintain relationships with diverse stakeholders, including government officials, health care providers, community organizations, patients’ rights advocates, and regulatory bodies.
