About The Position

The Gardens at Quail Springs is seeking a passionate and experienced Health & Wellness Director to lead nursing and care services across their Assisted Living and Memory Care communities in Oklahoma City. This role involves setting the standard for resident care, mentoring a team, and making a significant difference in the lives of older adults. The Health & Wellness Director will be the clinical backbone, overseeing all nursing and supportive services, ensuring exemplary and personalized care. Responsibilities include leading, hiring, training, and developing nursing and direct care staff, overseeing resident care plans, and acting as the primary clinical liaison between residents, families, physicians, and consultants. The role also requires maintaining compliance with state regulations, HIPAA, and company policies, managing the nursing department budget, and supporting community occupancy and resident transitions in collaboration with other directors. Additionally, the position involves serving as Manager on Duty on scheduled weekends, backup Executive Director duties, utilizing electronic health records, and providing empathetic guidance to families.

Requirements

Current LVN or RN licensure in the state of Oklahoma
2+ years of geriatric nursing experience
At least 2 years in a nursing administration or management role, preferably in assisted living or long-term care
Collaborative leadership style with the ability to guide, develop, and inspire a multidisciplinary care team
Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage competing priorities with composure
Comfort with technology and electronic health record systems
A genuine passion for serving older adults and their families

Nice To Haves

Responsibilities

Oversee all nursing and supportive services for both Assisted Living and Memory Care communities.
Lead, hire, train, and develop all nursing staff and direct care team members.
Oversee resident care plans from pre-admission through every stage of ongoing care.
Serve as the primary clinical liaison between residents, families, physicians, and outside consultants.
Maintain full compliance with state regulatory requirements, HIPAA standards, and company policies.
Collaborate with the Executive Director, Director of Community Relations, and sales team to support community occupancy and smooth resident transitions.
Manage the nursing department budget and supplies.
Serve as Manager on Duty on scheduled weekends.
Act as backup Executive Director when needed.
Utilize electronic health records to track, document, and optimize resident care outcomes.
Provide empathy and thoughtful guidance to family members navigating the aging and memory loss journey.
