What you will be doing: In this role, you will assume day-to-day management of Council activities and oversee project and planning activities in accordance with federal and state requirements, as well as annual amendments and reporting (inclusive of the DD Act 5-Year Plan, current grants, programs, and initiatives). You will supervise up to 6 other professional employees and perform other duties as assigned by the Executive Director. This role represents the Council on disability issues, facilitates stakeholder communication and advocacy with state agencies and policymakers through public forums, education, and meetings.

Requirements

  • A Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college in health planning, health sciences, social sciences, behavioral sciences, public health administration, public or business administration, or a closely related field.
  • Three years of professional planning experience in health or social services; OR Three years of professional experience in the administration, management, or development of a public health, health, or social services program.
  • Must be an Alaskan Resident.
