Requirements

  • Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Occupational Safety, Environmental Health, Industrial Hygiene, Engineering, or a related field.
  • Strong interest in health, safety, and environmental practices within a manufacturing environment.
  • Strong communication and organizational skills.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Willingness to learn, take initiative, and engage with employees at all levels of the organization.

Nice To Haves

  • Basic understanding of OSHA and environmental regulations preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

  • Support the Occupational Health, Safety, and Environmental (HSE) team in the development, implementation, and maintenance of safety and environmental programs.
  • Assist in promoting a safe and compliant work environment by helping identify hazards, support corrective actions, and participate in continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Gain hands-on experience with health, safety, and environmental systems, standards, and regulatory requirements within a manufacturing environment.
  • Assist with the implementation and maintenance of Occupational Health, Safety, and Environmental programs and initiatives.
  • Support hazard identification activities, risk assessments, and job safety analyses.
  • Participate in workplace inspections, audits, and safety observations; help track and follow up on corrective actions.
  • Assist in incident and near-miss investigations, including data collection and documentation.
  • Support the maintenance of safety records, OSHA logs, and environmental reporting documentation.
  • Help coordinate and deliver safety training materials, including new hire orientation support.
  • Participate in Joint Health and Safety Committee (JHSC) activities and meetings.
  • Assist with emergency preparedness activities and drills.
  • Support internal HSE audits and help track findings and action items.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives and promote a positive safety culture within the facility.
